Actually, I'm using version 4.0.2, and it rips a DVD into MP4 format pretty well. Not perfect all the time, but acceptable. The video generally has to be re-rendered in another application such as Videopad because NDVDR always gets the aspect ratio wrong even when you configure the settings manually. And half the time, the soundtrack is out of sync, so even if you use a time-shift function to advance or retard the audio so the dialogue matches mouth movements, it can still be out of sync in other scenes, leaving me to play around with the separate audio file in either Wavepad or Audacity, or chop it up and try to sync sections piece by piece. BUT...when NDVDR gets everything right, it's 99% perfect. Not too many headaches considering my version was freeware and leaves no watermark on the final copy.
